The product original source is the PROBA-V mission and has been produced by VITO.
This product has been originally provided in the context of the Copernicus Space Component. Further details on the Copernicus Space Component, and in particular the Data Access System, are available at ‘https://spacedata.copernicus.eu.
A Level2A product contains the projected Level1C (P–product) data, i.e. radiometrically and geometrically corrected TOA reflectance values projected on a uniform grid, given per band/camera. The applied coordinate reference system is the “Geographic Lat/Lon” (EPSG:4326) projection with a spatial resolution of 333 m.

The Absolute Location Error (ALE) across-track and along-track
The Absolute Location Error (ALE) across-track and along-track is daily monitored on projected PROBA-V scenes (L2 products) using an extensive set of ground control points derived from the Global Landsat Survey GLS 2010 cloud free dataset.

PROBA-V Level2A segments contain the Level1C (P–product) data projected on a uniform 333 m grid. A PROBA-V Level2A product contains the following datasets: (1) Top Of Atmosphere reflectance in the four spectral bands corresponding to the selected measurement, without atmospheric correction being performed, (2) Geometric viewing conditions, (3) Information on the status map (containing identification of radiometric quality, snow, ice, shadow, clouds, land/sea for every pixel). The datasets are resampled to a fixed grid in the Plate Carrée (equidistant) projection (EPSG:4326) at 333 m spatial resolution.
